Friday 7 pm

Crasher and I groomed and reset track on 38 km of trails this morning, it turned out very good. I talked to skiers coming of the trails at 1 pm on my way to “nap time” and the base was reported solid and skiable…because it is transformed granular “corn” snow. We groomed at 38 degrees; it was 35 overnight…forget about the myths of ” I can’t groom, it didn’t freeze”. You can and we did. It misted but never rained and skiing was fine. Good luck Bear Chase skiers, you will have a very good experience, thanks to Sofia, chief groomer and the team in Calumet. Stop in and see us for taste of the trails Sunday 11-2. Both Pisten Bullies are scheduled again to groom in the morning, and it looks like we will have new snow to mix in. I suggest 10 AM start will be the best skiing Saturday morning. No rain or snow so far tonight.
