Unplugging in a Cabin in the Woods

Respite for our Minds and Bodies

Unplugging from the constant barrage of stimuli can offer a much-needed respite for our minds and bodies. A weekend or a few days away in nature can provide a sense of calm, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.

SLOW DOWN

When we disconnect from our busy lives, we allow ourselves to engage in activities that promote relaxation and mindfulness. This could include spending time on the trails, building a fire, reading a book, preparing a meal, taking a sauna, or simply enjoying the cabin and the quiet. These activities help us to slow down, connect with ourselves, and appreciate the simple pleasures of life.

SLEEP

Additionally, a cabin stay can improve our sleep quality. While we aren’t quite “sleeping under the stars” in a cabin, we are immersed in the woods. As a bonus, the snow provides an insulating effect that makes the woods even quieter in winter. Coupling this quiet with exercise and fresh air throughout the day, we can improve our sleep quality and wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

If you’re ready for a reset, consider booking a stay in one of the trailside rustic cabins. Each cabin is equipped with a wood-burning stove, a sleeping mattress, and a private outhouse, a thrilling experience in its own right in the chill of winter.

You’ve most likely skied or snowshoed by one of these cabins. Each cabin is located on both a ski and snowshoe trail; the distance from the trailhead varies with each cabin. There is even a dog-friendly cabin located on the dog-friendly trails across the road.

Consider exploring a cabin stay in the future. Your mind and body will surely thank you!
