The Anderson Bluffs & River Trails Foundation was given a generous donation for a pilot project to monitor ski trail grooming. The donation, for the 2023-2024 season, allowed the Foundation to sign up with Nordic Pulse.
Nordic Pulse allows skiers to see, via app or web, cross country ski trail grooming reports. Nordic Pulse brings trail condition reports from ski area all across North America together on one platform, and streamlines grooming reporting for ski areas.
How it Works
Groomers take a GPS device with them each time they groom and that data is transmitted live to Nordic Pulse.
Erwin Township residents Leighton Naff and Missi King donated the gift for both the 2023-2024 and the 2024-2025 season. Missi, also the treasurer of the Foundation says, “The ability for skiers to view real-time grooming updates (via an app, on the website or a monitor in the chalet), will enhance their experience, but moreover, showcase the level of grooming that occurs throughout the ski season.”
How You Can Use It
You can check the grooming status on your phone using the app or visit the ABRSKI.com Grooming Map page. You can also see the grooming report on the TV screens in the chalet when you arrive at the trail head or talk to Eric and Angela.
