Why Our Salomon Escape Skis are Perfect for Your Adventure
Thinking about trying cross-country skiing? Our Salomon Escape Snow Cross Country Skis are the ideal choice for your rental!
We specifically chose these skis because they make learning easy, ensuring you spend less time fumbling and more time enjoying the beautiful trails.
Why You’ll Love These Skis:
Effortless Grip, No Fuss: These skis are waxless. They feature a special skin grip base that gives you a reliable kick and grip on the snow every time, without needing messy kick wax. Just step in and go!
Built-in Stability: The slightly wider shape and design (S-Cut) provide fantastic stability and control. You’ll feel comfortable and secure whether you’re moving on a groomed track or exploring a gentle, untouched path.
Simple & Fast Setup: Our skis come with user-friendly Prolink Auto Bindings. They are an automatic, step-in system that’s incredibly easy to use. We’ll show you once, and you’ll be clicking in and out of your skis like a pro.
Perfect for: First-time skiers, families, recreational users, and anyone who wants a simple, comfortable, and reliable day on the snow!

Will Andresen
Will Andresen is currently serving as the ABR Trails Foundation President.
Will was captain of NMU’s 1983 national championship ski team, and skied ABR when it first opened in 1995. Today, Will is living in his home on the ABR trails, skiing every day the trails are open.
Greg Greene
Greg has spent more than 20 years in the elite wave at the Birkie, with a highest placement of 50th. Greg finished first in his age group at ages 50, 60, 65, and has a goal to do so again at age 70 this coming year. He has also competed in the Swedish Vasaloppet and has achieved several top 15 finishes in marathon races across the Midwest throughout his career. Greg’s love of skiing is infectious, and he is a true ambassador of the sport. Greg is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Anderson Bluffs and River Trails (ABR) Foundation in Ironwood, Michigan.
Sue Schroeder
Sue enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities including rock climbing, mountaineering, cycling, kayaking, and cross-country and telemark skiing. In what seems like a previous life, she was a division one track and cross-country runner and marathoner, and continues to feed her competitive streak through gravel cycling and cross-country ski races—but adventure in beautiful places is her main focus. She and her husband Jim had been traveling to the UP to ski for 30 years, so they retired early and bought a second home in Ironwood several years ago. Sue is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Anderson Bluffs and River Trails (ABR) Foundation in Ironwood, Michigan.
